Diamond Select Toys today announced a pair of starships that will be joining the fleet later this year. Due this summer is a variant of the U.S.S. Enterprise E, while the previous version represented the ship from Star Trek: Nemesis, this version has a detailed paint scheme based on First Contact – and it looks incredible. The lights and sound remain unchanged.
Then, in the fall, the U.S.S. Excelsior will be released. Captain Sulu’s ship will be 16 inches long and will be unique from the Excelsior-class Enterprise B, featuring several sculptural differences. The Excelsior will have light-up features and also have all new sound files – including quotes from Captain Sulu himself, George Takei.
