Hasbro’s G. I. Joe Classified is one my personal favorite lines currently running. This year’s Toy Fair reveals gave us our first look at many of these figures – and a brand new character. And some dinosaurs.
New Classified figures on display includes the all new character Sundown, Dawn Moreno, Overkill, Hydro Viper, and Airtight. Also making their debut to the line are Professor Rottclaw with his genetically engineered Cobra dinosuar while Zanya rides into battle on the Dreadnok Chameleon. Red Dog and Taurus round out this crew and the Action Soldier Special Forces Legacy figure gives the line some realism. Also note the ‘stage 2’ Mole Rat – that dark energon isn’t something to mess with.
The D. I. R. E. Tech offerings continue with a Walmart exclusive Night Creeper and loof for Ninja Force Zartan as a Target exclusive.
Also shown were retro figures of Zap and Crazy Legs as well as a female Crimson Guard. A new “versus” battle in a box also was shown with a new deco of Snake Eyes on an ATV fighting a black deco’d Viper in a Trubble Bubble.
Mainline wave preorders kick off Tuesday, February 17 at 1PM ET wherever fine toys are sold, with Ninja Force Zartan launching at Target with limited quantities on Hasbro Pulse at the same time.
