Mattel is celebrating the 30th anniversary of Jurassic Park with a new crowdfund campaign for the giant park entry gates (now motorized) and the first ever Ford Explorer #5. The gates stand over 20″ tall and are authentically scaled to all Hammond Collection figures. In addition to the motorized opening, the torches on the gates light up and flicker – welcoming guests into the park. The included Ford Explore features rubber tires and enhanced design details. Priced at $250, 5000 backers are needed for the campaign to come to production.
Bonus levels for this program are:
- 6000 backers: Post-electrocution Tim figure with enclosure fences (9″ high and nearly 15″ wide)
- 8000 backers: Hammond Collection “Buck” T. rex from The Lost World: Jurassic Park
- 10,000 backers: Lex figure and goat with removable hind leg
A few pictures from the campaign are below and you can see the full details here.
