It’s the first day of Hasbro’s Pulse Con and during their Star Wars panel the brand team revealed a ton of new Mandalorian product, a new Force FX Elite saber and the Rancor HASLAB project launched! Keep reading for full details of the reveals and pics of all the new toys.
Force FX Elite Lightsaber
Previewed in an earlier livestream, Leia’s saber from ‘The Rise of Skywalker’ has now made it’s debut and will be available in Fall of 2022. This saber includes all the LED light effects and sounds that all Force FX sabers are known for. Additionally, the Leia saber includes a swappable emitter head – so that when on display without the blade – the saber is as screen accurate as possible.
Black Series
The Black Series announcements from Pulsecon are very heavily weighted to the hit Disney+ series ‘The Mandalorian’. Making their debut at during the livestream are is a Mandalorian and Grogu 2-pack (well 3-pack if you include the ice spider) from Maldo Kreis ($36.99, Target exclusive), Cobb Vanth, Migs Mayfeld (in Imperial tank driver outfit) and Boba Fett (Tython).
Black Series – Galaxy’s Edge
Three new Disney exclusive Galaxy’s Edge multipacks were revealed during PulseCon. The first of these was a First Order pack with a First Order AT-AT Driver an R5 astromech droid, a mouse droid and General Hux (with new head sculpt and deco). A creatures pack was announced that includes a Mynock, two Porgs, a Boglings and two Kowakian Monkey Lizards. Finally a droid pack was shared which includes K-7R1, CB-23, a Pit Droid, a Battle Droid and Babu Frik. Each of these Disney Parks exclusives should be available in park and online.
Vintage Collection
Ok, Vintage Collection had a good day, so I’m going to break out a bulleted list
- Rebel Fleet Trooper Pack – following in the footsteps of the Stromtrooper Pack, this set includes 4 figures – 3 Rebel Fleet Troopers and Captain Antilles. Build up the ranks of the Rebellion!
- The Mandalorian& Grogu (Maldo Kreis) – like the Black Series pack above, this includes the Mandalorian, Grogu and an ice spider. This set will be exclusive to Walmart.
- The Mandalorian Nevarro Cantina playset – relive the excitement of the Season 1 finale with this playset. Two playsets can be combined to make a complete scene. The window can be swapped between it’s normal appearance and a ‘blown out’ battle damage appearance. This playset includes a Death Trooper figure.
- Vintage Collection Reissues: An ‘Archive’ like line for vintage collection will be added to the line-up in 2022 which will give fans the opportunity to pick up older Vintage Collection figures they may have previously missed. The first entries include VC102 Ahsoka Tano, VC35 Mace Windu, VC31 Obi-Wan Kenobi (Attack of the Clones), VC80 Anakin Skywalker (Padawan). Each of these includes update photo real deco.
HASLAB Black Series Rancor
Of course, the big (literally) news of today’s Star Wars reveals was the official start of the HASLAB campaign for the Black Series Rancor. Running from October 22nd (today!) to December 6th, this campaign needs 9,000 backers for the Rancor to go into production. The Rancor has an arm span of 42 inches and stands 17.5inches with 45 points of articulation and hundreds of paint applications. Stretch goals kick in at 11,000 backers. The Rancor is priced at $349.99.
