Hasbto Pulse hosted a Star Wars live stream yesterday, unveiling several previously unannounced products (but not the HasLab project, that’ll be announced next month).
One the 6″ scale side of things two new figures were announced, both store exclusives. One of them is a new GameStop exclusive ‘Gaming Greats’ figure was announced – a Purge Trooper from ‘Fallen Order’. This Purge Trooper includes his electrostaff. This is available from GameStop here. The second store exclusive is a Walgreen’s exclusive Phase 1 Clone Trooper Lieutenant, which should be available for pre-order September 15th.
In the Vintage Collection, the show was stolen by the reveal of a new Tantive IV playset. Lifted direct from the opening scene of Star Wars (or the closing scene of Rogue One), you can now stage your own Imperial boarding of a consulate ship. The playset is modular, allowing for multiple configurations…and the back of the playset allows you to build the corridor where Leia installed the Death Star plans into R2-D2. This playset includes a vintage collection Rebel Fleet Trooper. Also announced for the Vintage Collection were an update Darth Vader on a Rogue One card and an updated ‘Galaxy’s Edge’ Hondo Ohnaka.
Hasbro also announced one last hurrah for their 3 3/4″ 5 point of articulation figures, with six themed box sets of figuress before they are sent to Hasbro’s Vault. Each of the reissues get updated face printed decos. Each set includes a droid, with several new droids being introduced across these sets. These sets are all available to pre-order at your favorite retailers. The themes are:
- Jedi Order (Obi-Wan Kenobi, Mace Windu, Anakin Skywalker, Yoda and R7-A7)
- Sith (Kylo Ren, Darth Vader, Darth Maul, Emporer Palpatine and TC-4)
- The First Order (Flametrooper, Captain Phasma, Hux, First Order Trooper Officer, Mouse Droid and BB-9E) – Best Buy Exclusive
- Galactic Empire (TIE Pilot, Snowtrooper, Stormtrooper Squad Leader, Scout Trooper, and R2-Q5) – Best Buy Exclusive
- Rebel Alliance (R2-D2, Bespin Han Solo, Hoth Princess Leia, Chewbacca and Jedi Knight Luke Skywaler) – Amazon Exclusive

The final item revealed during the live stream was a new Force FX Lightsaber- Emporer Palpatines from Revenge of the Sith. This saber features movie-inspired sounds, progressive ignition, battle clash effect, wall-cutting effect and a lightning effect. The blade is removeable and includes two emitters for maximum accuracy both with and without the blade.
