Eaglemoss Die-Cast Club Introdues Elanor from ‘Gone in 60 Seconds’

To coincide with the 20th anniversary of the blockbuster movie,
Gone in 60 Seconds, Eaglemoss Die-Cast Club is delighted to announce the upcoming launch of a subscription program to build a high-quality die-cast metal 1:8 scale model of the “star car” from the motion picture – Eleanor.
Die-Cast Club is a brand of Eaglemoss Limited, a publishing company with more than 30 years of experience and home of the successful Hero Collector line. Die-Cast Club joined the line-up in 2013 to offer what every die-cast and motor enthusiast desires – quality models made with premier manufacturers and marketed by experts. Eleanor joins an impressive range of 1:8 scale build-up models in the Die-Cast Club Garage, including the iconic DeLorean from Back to the Future, 007’s classic Aston Martin DB5, and the Cadillac Ecto-1 from Ghostbusters.

The result of a global licensing agreement with Denice Shakarian Halicki, owner of Gone in 60 Seconds, Halicki Films and the “Eleanor” franchise, the model is guaranteed to delight both fans of the scene-stealing Eleanor from Gone in 60 Seconds and Mustang aficionados.

“I believe Eaglemoss Die-Cast Club’s meticulous attention to detail to Eleanor’s characteristics will be a thrill for fans of Eleanor and fun for everyone who enjoys and love cars… At a time when joy is a wonderful thing to have…” says Denice Halicki.

Subscribers will – for the very first time – be able to build a 1:8 scale replica of the car as seen in the movie, with every feature reproduced in stunning detail. The completed model is 22.9 inches long and will include the following superb elements:

  • Working headlights and tail lights
  • Turning front wheels operated by the steering wheel
  • Opening hood to reveal Eleanor’s phenomenal Ford small-block racing engine
  • Opening trunk, which contains the car’s nitro tank
  • Eleanor’s iconic Go Baby Go gearshift and NOS switch

Gone in 60 Seconds is an American car action heist movie starring Nicolas Cage, Angelina Jolie, Giovanni Ribisi, Christopher Eccleston, Robert Duvall and, of course, Eleanor. The film was produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and Denice Shakarian Halicki, and is a remake of the 1974 cult classic that was written, directed, and produced by Denice’s husband, H.B. “Toby” Halicki, who also starred in the feature. The movie’s core plot centers around a master car booster and his crew hired to steal a specific list of 48 high-end-performance cars, with the beautiful Eleanor Mustang the most desirable and the hardest to capture. Among the epic car chases in the original movie is one unforgettable pursuit that, at around 40 minutes long, is the longest in cinema history.

Subscribers will receive regular monthly shipments of model parts. Accompanying each set of parts is a magazine that includes step-by-step build instructions, as well as features on the Gone in 60 Seconds franchise and the fascinating story of the magnificent Eleanor – voted “the most famous Mustang in history.”

The 1:8 scale die-cast Eleanor build-up is scheduled to make its US debut in early 2021, with pre-orders commencing in Fall 2020.
