Hasbro is in the midst of celebrating the 35th anniversary of the Transformers franchise. For 35 years, ordinary objects have been more than meets the eye – unlocking imaginations and bringing fans into the world of the Autobots and the Decepticons. As part of their celebration, a mysterious package from Hasbro arrived at the AwesomeToyBlogHQ – a package, which like the Transformers themselves, has a secret hidden inside.
The front of the box is anchored by the now iconic Autobot insignia and features the modern (vertical) Transofmers logo and the tagline #MoreThanMeetsTheEye. The back of the box spotlights several essential Autobots: Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Grimlock, Wheel Jack and Wingblade. Sliding off the outer sleeve reveals their Decepticon foes: Megatron, Shockwave, Soundwave and Barricade.
Moving past the art, we see the contents of the box – a collection of Transformers toys across Hasbro’s entire range, for kids and collectors of all ages.
For the younger fans the toys include the Transformers: Bumblebee Movie Energon Ingiters Nitro Series Bumblebee, the Transformers Cyberverse Grimlock and Optimus Prime and (the AwesomeToyBlog approved!) BotBots.
Skewing a bit older (though BotBots really are for everyone!) are the Transformers Studio Series Bumblebee movie Optimus Prime and the War for Cybertron Soundwave and Spy Patrol.
I’m pysched to spend more time with these toys and get them posted here on AwesomeToyBlog, but I’m left with the feeling that there’s something more here. I turn my attention back to the empty box.
Wait…what’s that spot of blue in Optimus Prime?
Yea, that one.
Well that looks like a hidden panel.
It is a hidden panel! With a Cybertronian message behind it. What could it mean? This is something that Teletraan-1 could help with…so visit Transformers.Hasbro.com/teletraan1 to decode the message – and you may be rewarded for your effort.
Thanks to our friends at Hasbro for letting us share this Cybertronian message with you!
