Hasbro today sent over news of a brand new Transformers line – BotBots. BotBots are mischievous little robots who came to life when a cloud of Energon decended on a shopping mall. Everything including candy, sports equipment, electronics, school supplies, and more came to life as little Transformers robots. The Botbots all belong to tribes, based on the their product type – “Sugar Shocks” (sweet treats), the “Backpack Bunch” (school equipment), the “Toilet Troop” (bathroom items), the “Techie Team” (electronic gadgets), the “Greaser Gang” (fast food), the “Shed Heads” (gardening gear), and the “Jock Squad” (sporting goods). The first series includes 61 unique characters, each with a robot mode and an alt. mode with a 3-5 step transformation. These will be hitting stores this winter and will be available as sing blind bags, 5-packs and 8-packs.
