The DC Collectibles display at Toy Fair can be described many ways – but impressive has to be included in those words. They’ve pulled out all the stops this year and have an amazing slate of products that covers all the DC bases – from animated series to the DC cinematic universe, to the television universe and, of course, the comics.
My personal favorite section of the display were the new DC Icons reveals – DC demonstrated that they’re all in on this relatively new line. The most impressive reveal for the show was the Batgirl with motorcycle set, featuring a ton of fun details and a great deco.
Also impressive were the new additions to the Batman animated series line. Not only are the new figures impressive, DC Collectibles is following up on the success of the animated Batmobile with an all new Batwing. The prototype was at the show and it is GIANT. It’ll quickly become a collection defining piece.
DC Collectibles is also launching a new DC Films action figure line. Encompassing the entire cinematic universe, this collection of premium figures will include enhanced deco, articulation and accessories. In a similar manner, their line of TV based products will be continuing as Arrow, Supergirl and Flash all remain hot on the small screen.
One last product to spotlight is the Superman blueline figure – done in a similar style to last year’s SDCC exclusive Batman, this Superman is an awesome take on the Jim Lee design. If you grabbed Batman last year, you’re going to want this Superman.
Check all the above product as well as much much more (plush! Batman Arkham figures! Suicide Squad statues! Greg Capullo Designer series!) in the gallery below.
