The next extension of the Angry Birds franchise was announced this morning – Angry Birds Transformers. This new extension of the brand is the product of the on-going partnership between Hasbro and Rovio. Not only will there be a new Angry Birds Transformers mobile game, but also consumer goods including a new Angry Birds Transformers TELEPOD toy line.
“We’re really excited to combine the iconic TRANSFORMERS universe with the quirky world of Angry Birds,” said Blanca Juti, Chief Marketing Officer of Rovio. “This mash-up is going to appeal to both those who grew up with the brand in the 80’s, as well as fans of the brand today. People are going to love it!”
