Earlier this week, the latest addition to the Skylanders franchise was announced – Skylanders Trap Team. In Skylanders Trap Team, Koas locates and destroys the Cloudcracker Prison releasing Skyland’s worst villians. It’s up to the Portal Masters to recapture the villains and with the help of the Traptanium Portal, Portal Masters can take the villains out of the games and into the physical world.
A huge part of the Skylanders experience are the collectible figures that unlock the character in the game and Skylanders Trap Team introduces a new group – the Trap Masters. Each Trap Master features an oversized crystal weapons and are among the more than 50 new playable Skylanders that also includes new core Skylanders as well as reposed fan favorites.
Skylanders Trap Team is available for pre-order now and will be available for Xbox 360, Xbox One, Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo Wii U and a unique adventure game for the Nintendo 3DS. The game will be available October 5th in North America, October 2nd in Australia and New Zealand and October 10th in Europe. Check out a few preview pics below and stay tuned for more news!
