Thoughts: I’m really not that into Marvel Legends – but something about these Captain America ones really hits a spot for me. When twitter pal Nik (@T16Skyhopp) tweeted that he had found the three final Captain America: The Winter Soldier Marvel Legends figures (Cap in S.H.I.E.L.D. uniform, Black Widow and Winter Soldier), I knew that I’d be going to a few Targets and Toys R Us-es this weekend looking for these. Today I found Cap. He includes a second head (no head cover, his shield (in blue and silver), and a spare pair of hands and a Mandroid leg. One hand lets him salute and the other lets him point. Near immediately I swapped his head for the non-covered and put on the pointing hand.
This figure is great. GREAT. The sculpt is top notch, the paint is fantastic and the bonus parts are a great addition. The only thing I don’t like is the way his shield has two loops which slip over his forearm. Of course I thought this was great on the 3 3/4″ Captain America figure – but that one worked better. I ended up having to take Cap’s hand off to get his shield on.
Summary: A summary seems pretty redundant…but I really liked this figure and look forward to finding Widow next.
