He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, She-Ra, Star Trek: the Animated Series and Fat Albert were just a few of the many animated series to be born from the Filmation studios. In a new book, with its first release at San Diego Comic-con 2011, the story of Lou Scheimer, the co-founder of Filmation will be told by author Andy Mangels.
This book will not be just a narrative of the history of Filmation studios, but will also include photos, model sheets, storyboards,presentation art and looks at rare and unproduced series. For any child of the late 70’s or 80’s this will be a book to check out.
