Shocker Toys SDCC Exclusives Sell Out; 2nd Preorder Coming

Shocker Toy’s SDCC exclusives have proven themselves to be quite popular with the three San Diego Comic-con exclusives (Barry Hubris, The Blank and The Blue Beetle) selling out quickly.  Shocker Toys have decided to have a 2nd preorder and that’s set for June 2nd at 12PM Est. Standard Time; so if you missed out on these figures you have a second shot.

Also still available is the “Mucus Tick” translucent green figure, limited to only 1000, that isn’t likely to last too long.

  1. Out of curiosity, Geoff, how do you sell out of something that hasn’t been manufactured yet? How do you call it a “sell out” when you will have more of the exact items (that haven’t been made yet, and that will ship at the same time as the same items from the previous “sell out”) to sell the following week?

This is just marketing BS that gets gullible blogs to print your press release instead of you paying for advertisements. There is no news here. It’s just your effort to try to create a manufactured atmosphere of limited supply and high demand. It’s phony hype at its transparent worst.

  2. Who wants to bet on whether these toys are actually at the con or not? Not seen one pic of finished toys, have we?

I’m gonna risk it and guess that the suckers who pre-ordered these will get to pick up coupons or some sort of IOU’s. lol

  3. So did they make it to the con with these toys? I bet not, but I’ll still giggle when I read about how you went to their booth and paid them and received a coupon and an excuse.

  4. I didn’t order any of their stuff myself – but they do have a booth full of product. I’ll try to get some pictures today.

  5. They always have a booth full of product. Prolly lots of Katchoos, Kabukis and old double-elbow Maxx and all the other crap they can’t unload.

I wanna know if they actually have these exclusives for sale at the booth. Or if they have any information on when IS2 will drop since it’s obviously not Q1 or Q2 or probably any time this year. Not to mention the Mr. Gone they still owe to a BUNCH of folks.

I’ll be really surprised to hear that they actually have anything available that they haven’t already had a available. If they had, we would have seen pic after pic on the net for the last few months.

    Delays
If the merchant is unable to ship within the promised time, it must notify you by mail, telephone, or email, give a revised shipping date and give you the chance to cancel for a full refund or accept the new shipping date. The merchant also must give you some way to exercise the cancellation option for free, for example, by supplying a prepaid reply card or staffing a toll-free telephone number.

    * If you ignore the option notice, and the delay is 30 days or less, it’s assumed that you accept the delay and are willing to wait for the merchandise.
    * If you do not respond – and the delay is more than 30 days – the order must be canceled by the 30th day of the delay period and a full refund issued promptly.

If the merchant can’t meet the revised shipping date, it must notify you again by mail, email or telephone and give you a new shipping date or cancel your order and give you a refund.

    * The order will be canceled and a refund issued promptly unless you indicate by the revised shipping date that you are willing to wait.
    * If you do not respond at all to the second notice, it’s assumed that you are not willing to wait, and a full refund must be issued promptly.

  7. 90 days now…

How those figs coming Gooff? Got a nice sculpt? Maybe a paint job?

Hey Geoff, seriously, all bad feelings aside…why don’t you produce one single figure at a time?

Do one thing. Do it well. Then move on.

    Huh?

  8. So like 6 months overdue now. That is, if you only count from that last excuse.

I think from the first promised date it’s counted in years.

  9. So like 8 months later…still no figures.

Anyone want to bet me that they won’t be out by the next SDCC?

I can’t believe people still give this asshole their money.

  10. Nine months now. A woman could have literally grown an entire human being in her womb in the time that Geoff has failed to make a tiny plastic man.

  11. So here we are…2-3 months away from another SDCC.

Where are these toys? Surely in the hands of those folks that paid good hard earned money for them right?

    No?

    What a “Shocker.”

  12. So well over a year since this was posted.
Anyone receive their toys yet? No?

    Shocking.

  13. Also note that a year ago Geoff claimed the the pre-orders were sold out and this new batch is gonna go so fast…you can still pre-order them on his site.

    Geoff, you’re a scumbag.

  14. So the count down was great.

Don’t know if anyone else read it, but I had fun writing it.
Here we are exactly 1 year later and no toys are in sight.

Geoff collected all the money…but what did he spend it on? It wasn’t production, and it wasn’t to pay artists.

So where is the money that paid for these figs to be made? Hmmn? Donuts?
