Quantum Mechanix (QMx) today announced Qraftworks, which offers fans a new way to build and collect their favorite vehicles and props for less than they ever thought possible. The first Qraftworks 3D papercraft model kits available for purchase are eight iconic starships from the legendary science fiction series “Star Trek.”
The Qraftworks Star Trek PuzzleFleet kits come ready for assembly straight out of the box. Each kit is crafted with precision-cut full color foam core pieces, and requires no cutting, gluing, sanding or painting. The kits are safe for builders ages 14 and up.
“For the first time collectors with no particular skill or experience with model building can build their own starships,” said QMx CEO Andy Gore. “It’s hard to put into words how satisfying it is to build one of these ships, but there’s something magical about transforming a pile of flat die cut parts into a beautiful 3D model with your own two hands.”

The eight ships in the first wave of Qraftworks buildables encompass the decades-long history of “Star Trek”:
- The original series-era USS Enterprise
- Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan “refit” USS Enterprise
- The USS Reliant (also from The Wrath Of Khan)
- The Klingon “Bird Of Prey” from Star Trek III
- The Enterprise D (from Star Trek: The Next Generation)
- The Original Series Klingon D7 Battlecruiser
- The USS Discovery (From Star Trek: Discovery)
- The USS Cerritos (From Star Trek: Lower Decks)
Each design was developed using studio special effects models to give a beautiful, screen-accurate look to each completed model. A stand and dedication plaque are included with each kit.
“Normally, collecting is a solitary hobby,” Gore said. “One of the many things I personally love about Qraftworks is that these kits are even more fun to build together with family or friends. It’s social collecting – how cool is that?”
