Just days before the kick-off of the 2013 New York Toy Fair, Activision revealed the next entry into the hugely popular Skylanders franchise. Coming to a video game console near you later in 2013 will be Skylanders Swap Force. The new game will feature enhanced graphics – beyond those in any previous release and features a new twist to gameplay; tops and bottoms of the 16 new figures are interchangeable and the game recognizes the combinations. The halves are held together with magnetics, making the figure stay connected, but swappable with out too much effort. In addition to the 16 Swap Force characters there will be 16 new core Skylanders, 8 LightCore Skylanders and 16 new versions of characters from previous games. And, of course, all your existing Skylanders are still compatible with the game.
