Coleco launched a Kickstarter campaign last week to offer their first Coleco Mini Arcade machines in over 35 years and it has already blown past it’s funding goal. The Kickstarter offers backers the opportunity to nab their choice (well, or both) of the new Rainbow Brite or Robotech game. Via this Kickstarter these are being offered for $55 each or $105 for the pair. MSRP is $69.
Each Mini Arcade features:
- The classic original shape and heavy duty construction of the originals
- Full-color LCD display
- Powerful new gaming chip set
- Revamped Joystick and accurate action buttons
- Rechargeable Lithium Ion batter pack
- Highly-detailed, colorful Rainbow Brite or Robotech art wrap
A third game is currently slated to be revealed if the campaign reaches a stretch goal of $180,000.
“This has been by far the most exciting product we’ve been working on,” said Tina Cassano, Product Developer at Coleco. “There is an indescribable glow when old fans recount their childhood memories with Coleco Minis and we fully anticipate that this project is only the beginning.”
