While AwesomeToyBlog is usually written for older fans and collectors, Christmas is a time when we’re particularly mindful of the younger kids. Here’s a few suggestions for great gifts if you’re stumped.
Each year at toy fair, one of our favorite stops is the Playmobil booth as they’ve always got a ton of great product that we’d love to pack up and take home with us…and with their larger size and sturdiness they’re perfect for the younger set. Each year they have a number of themes to their sets and this year they are featuring Dragons, Shopping, Construction and Animal Ark. Obviously the toy stop set is one of our favorites, but we also like the Dragons Battle Ship and the Rock Climbing set. The great thing about Playmobil is that the range is so wide that regardless of what your kids are into – there’s likely a Playmobil set that’s related to their interests.
My other suggestion for the younger kids is something that was so cute, I couldn’t pass them up for myself…Hasbro’s Mixable Mashable Heroes. These take your favorite Transformers and Marvel superheroes, give them a Mr. Potato Head makeover with swappable parts so you can personalize them. There’s a Wolverine/Hulk set, Iron Man, Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and others, but honestly, it doesn’t get cuter than the Grimlock. These are pretty cheap ($5-$10) making them perfect for stocking stuffers.
