Skylanders Comics On the Way from IDW

swapforce logo tnThe Skylanders universe just keeps growing as today Activision and IDW Publishing announced a Skylanders comic-book seriespenned by renowned comic-book writer Ron Marz with Mike Bowden and David Baldeon as lead artists. The first issue serves as a prequel to the upcoming Skylanders Trap Team storyline, leading readers get an early peek at several all new characters.

The comic will debut at SDCC with issue #0, an introductory 16 page story and character guide.

To explore the world of Skylands beyond the game is an opportunity we know our fans have long been awaiting, and we couldn’t be more excited to see this manifested through a comic series.”

Skylanders will also join IDW’s successful Micro Comic Fun Packs line-up this fall and will be available in comic-book stores as well as mass-market retailers this October. Distribution is expected in the following territories: United States, Canada, France, Italy, United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Australia and New Zealand.
