Right before SDCC kicked off, Petco announced they were launching a Star Wars line of pet apparel, toys and more. During the show, Petco’s giveaway of pet Yoda ears was one of hottest freebies, drawing a crowd which wrapped around the Lucasfilm Star Wars pavillion. Friday evening, I had the opportunity to attended Petco’s Star Wars launch party “yappy hour” at the Indigo hotel.
The party was a blast! A few events were going on at this pet friendly event – Darth Vader, Stormtroopers and others were available for photo-ops, for both pets and people. ‘Princess Leia’ was drawing characitures of pets with their owners. Finally, several items from the Petco Star Wars collection were on display (including the awesome Chewbacca pet hoodie) with a few pieces being modeled by some adorable pets.
