AwesomeToyBlog’s Holiday Gift Guide Day #5 – the Marvel fan

With the holiday season now upon us, it can be difficult to find the right gifts for the fan in your life. Now in it’s second year, the AwesomeToyBlog Awesome Holiday Gift Guide is my opportunity to spotlight some fantastic products that make perfect gifts. Fans of Marvel comics have had an incredible year, so choosing gifts for today’s theme was tough.

My first Marvelicious recommendation is pretty straightforward – an Avengers gift pack. It was the superhero movie of the year, so this was a no brainer. I’d suggest a copy of the movie and then a few Hasbro figures, and a Helicarrier. That’s right, the mobile, flying, S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters can be yours – it even includes a Captain America.  If the Helicarrier is out of the budget, then go for the Quinjet – but if you’re a Costco member, pick it up there, they have an exclusive version that has different colorings and includes two figures.

If there person you’re shopping for has high-end tastes, then I can suggest either Sideshow’s  Hot Toys ‘Rescue Captain America‘ or the standard Captain America from “Captain America: The First Avenger”. All Hot Toy releases have amazing likeness and quality, and both of these figures are no exception, looking like they were plucked right out of the Captain America film – simply gorgeous. I drooled over the Rescue Cap figure at SDCC and I know I’d love to find either of these under my tree.

For fans who want to own a piece of ‘The Avengers’ movie – eFX has the perfect gift, having released a replica of Agent Coulson’s Captain America trading cards. You actually get two complete sets of cards – one near mint and the other bloodied. Priced at just $40 for the set, this is a fantastic gift for someone who is a huge Agent Coulson fan or just loved the movie.

None of these sound good? Well then, how about a gift subscription to Marvel’s Unlimited Digital subscription? They’ll get access to over 10,000 comics for just $60 a year. You can sign up for a gift subscription here on Marvel.com.
