Ravage
Series: Transformers Universe
Release Date: 2009
Comments: To celebrate the 25th anniversary of G1 Transformers, HASBRO revamped its Universe line and packed it full of G1 goodness. Universe really had some fantastic releases for the G1 fan, including this Ravage.
I’m going to go out on a limb and say that this will be the best version of Ravage that is ever made where his alt mode is a cassette. And not just a cassette, a properly sized cassette so he can fit into G1 Soundwave (or Blaster). The fact that I’m not sure that kids in 2009 even know what a cassette is makes it even better. Ravage is pretty much all about the jaguar mode, as his alt mode is fairly boring (see picture after the jump). For someone who grew up with the G1 cassettes the 3D-ness of Universe Ravage is almost jaw dropping. I mean, all this folds up into that little cassette! I’ve had Ravage for months and its still that cool. He’s fantastic.
