Phoenix Comicon recently announced the addition of Alex Kingston, River Song from hit science fiction show Doctor Who, and they aren’t stopping there! Joining them for their 2016 convention is Billie Piper!
Billie Piper is recognized by “Whovians” as Rose Tyler, “Companion” to Doctor Who’s 9th and 10th Doctors (as well as her cameos in later episodes and Doctor Who specials). Additionally, Billie is well known for her work on the television shows “Secret Diary of a Call Girl” and “Penny Dreadful”!
“Doctor Who is an incredibly popular show with convention-goers and has some of the most passionate fans around. It is important for us to give our attendees the guests that they would like to see the most”, says Phoenix Comicon Guest Relations Director, Brandy Kuschel. With both River Song and Rose Tyler at the same convention, it’s plain to see that she’s not kidding!
