Vote for next Marvel Universe Exclusive Figure

Last year, as an incentive for signing up for Marvel Digital comics they offered an exclusive Nick Fury Marvel Universe figure. It looks like the promotion will be returning, and you have the opportunity to vote on which character you want! This years choices are Archangel (in X-Force uniform), Norman Osborn in his H.A.M.M.E.R. uniform or Moonstone as Ms. Marvel. Voting runs through the 15th and you can cast your vote here.

‘Unearthly Child’ 1st Doctor Up for Pre-order

The fine folks over at Entertainment Earth have posted the pre-order for the ‘Unearthly Child’ version of the 1st Doctor. This figure is due in May and is priced at a very reasonable $21.99. For fans in the UK, this figure is being exclusively offered by Forbidden Planet.

Star Wars Price Cut at Wal-Mart?

This is a YMMV (Your Mileage May Vary) sort of post, but at my Phoenix area Wal-Marts Star Wars basic figure prices have been cut, for at least the time being.

Wal-Mart pricing can vary considerably store to store, but the $5 pricing for GI Joe figures became standard, so perhaps this is a sign of things to come. Leave a comment if you’ve seen a price drop in your neighborhood.

‘Unearthly Child’ 1st Doctor Figure coming in May

WhoNA today announced that the first Doctor figure from the premiere episode of Doctor Who, ‘An Unearthly Child’ will be available in May. This figure was first seen on the back of a flyer for Underground Toys 2010 Toy Fair. You can see the picture after the jump. No preorder details are available.

With this release in May 2010, this is quickly on the heels of the 7th Doctor and TARDIS set. Deepening the mystery of what (if any) the 2010 SDCC Doctor Who exclusives will be.

Lego Minifig Collection Rumor – Debunked!

I got an interesting tidbit passed on to me from a Lego-fan / employee at the Lego store regarding the highly anticipated minifig series. As we knew, the figures were blind bagged, however per this employee – each bag would not have all the parts for any given figure. The bag with the clown body could have the cheerleader’s head, etc.

As stated in the title, this is very much so a rumor, and one that I hope is not true. But, if this is the case best start lining people up to start trading parts with.

Updated: Adam Pawlus @ 16bit.com touched base with his lego contact and verified that this one was just a rumor. Whew!
