Funko Releases Clockwork Orange Pop! Vinyl, New TMNT and Marvel Pen Toppers This September

funko logoFunko sent over a pair of updates late last week which included the announcement of the release of the Alex DeLarge Pop! vinyl from the Stanley Kubrick classic film ‘A Clockwork Orange’. This Pop! is available now at a store near you (or on the internet).

The other news item of note was the announcment of a September release for new Pop! Pen toppers featuring the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Marvel characters (Loki, Thor, Venom, Daredevil). You’ll be ready for school with these on your pen!

Nickelodeon’s SDCC Items Showcase the Best of Today and the 90’s

Another Round of Mattel SDCC Exclusives Revealed in USA Today

Kidrobot Debuts Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Capsule Collection At Denver Comic Con

The capsule will include a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Blind Box Mini Series,Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles PHUNNY Plush, and Teenage Mutant Ninja TurtlesShredder and Triceraton Medium Figures. The capsule pieces will retail from $9.99-$39.99. All items will debut at Kidrobot’s Denver Comic Con Booth #337.
Later this summer, Kidrobot will also release a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Blind Box Keychain Series, retailing for $5.99 each.
Kidrobot and Nickelodeon have previously worked together to release a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles line in 2014.

Playmates Celebrates Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows With Expansive Toy Line

Directed by Dave Green and produced by Michael Bay, the film is a sequel to the 2014 blockbuster film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and will be in theaters June 3. Action Figures

The collection of action figures inspired by the film includes Basic Action Figures, 6-inch Battle Sounds Figuresand 11-inch Action Figures. In addition to being highly detailed, fully poseable and uniquely sculpted to capture the personalities and distinctive appearance of the Turtles, allies and villains in the movie, each figure comes equipped with its own unique accessories.

The 5-inch Basic Action Figures include the four Ninja Turtles–Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo–as well as Stealth Leonardo, Pirate Michelangelo, Wingsuit Raphael, April O’Neil, Bebop, Rocksteady, Casey Jones, Foot Soldier, Kraang, Splinter and Shredder. Other action figure assortments include the 11-inch Action Figures and the 6-inch Battle Sounds Figures, which feature a button on the figure’s backpack that triggers up to ten sounds and phrases from the movie. Both assortments include the four Ninja Turtles, as well as Bebop and Rocksteady.

Vehicles

Each of the movie-inspired Cycles includes an exclusive action figure and unique ninja action. Cycles that feature ninja-flip action, where the figure will flip over the handlebars into battle position, include the Street Speeder with exclusive Leonardo, and the Ragin’ Racer with exclusive Raphael. Cycles that feature spring-powered missiles include the Warthog Trike with exclusive Bebop, Rhino Chopper with exclusive Rocksteady, and Polaris Slingshot with exclusive Michelangelo.

As seen in the movie, the Turtle Tactical Truck is full of awesome foot fighting gear including giant nunchucks that can be deployed as the vehicle rolls, a capture net and ninja stars that can be launched to give the Turtles an edge during battle. The truck also features a working forklift and is designed to hold all four Ninja Turtles.

Playsets

Standing over 40-inches tall, the City Sewer Lair Playset is packed with Turtle action, including an oven-styled pizza disc launcher, water slide entrance that is seen in the movie and more.  With over 15 features and multi-levels to play, kids can recreate all of the Turtles’ best battles from the movie in play areas including Splinter’s mediation area and Raphael’s gym.

The Technodrome Playset opens to over two-feet wide and is packed with play areas. It includes two missile firing projectile launchers, a secret entrance and trap door slide that drops enemies into a jail. 

Role Play Gear

With the new assortment of role play gear, kids can easily mutate into their favorite Turtle from the film. TheConceal & Reveal Weapons offer the ultimate battle surprise, as kids can push a button to reveal the powerful weapon and then conceal it by pushing it back into the handle. The Extreme Battle Shell is ready to protect kids in any battle and includes a front and back shell for maximum coverage and adjustable straps. To help complete the transformation, Deluxe Masks are also available in a variety of characters.

Young heroes can also train to fight like Leo with Leonardo’s Electronic Battle Sword.  The sword features two play modes, over 50 phrases and sound effects, and it also glows in three different colors during battle.

Movie Additions to Other Collectible Segments

Kids can add to their T-Machines collection with the new movie-inspired T-Machines Single Pack Vehicles.Perfect for racing through sewers, each 1/50 scale fast-rolling die-cast vehicle features flashy rims and an action-posed, non-removable Turtle character who is driving the vehicle.

A variety of movie-inspired T-Sprints Single Pack Figures and Vehicles have been added to the T-Sprints collection. An innovative figure and wheels play pattern, the highly stylized, mini T-Sprints, which reflect the Turtles’ appearances in the movie, feature a unique flywheel so kids can rev them up, drop them into a vehicle shell and watch them sprint into action.

The 2.5″ Mini Figures, which will be available this fall, are the perfect collectible for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fans. The blind-bagged, fully articulated figures will be available in an assortment that captures the personalities and distinctive appearance of the Turtles and villains in the movie.

Factory Entertainment Announce Releae of Prop Replica of Leonardo’s Katana

Copied directly from the original props used in the production of the film, this museum quality item has been hand-crafted to deliver a replica of exceptional collectability.

Factory Entertainment’s development team spent many hours scrutinizing the original props and production reference from the film, creating the world’s first replica of a signature weapon featured in a Ninja Turtles movie.

As a screen-accurate piece, this replica has a total length of 41.5”. The highly polished blade of the sword is forged of high-carbon steel and is gracefully curved with a kissaki point/tip with a Iaito-style dull blade edge. The hilt features a corded wrapping in Leo’s signature blue, with white reproduction ray-skin beneath and eight turtle-shaped menuki/ornaments. The tsuba/guard is cast metal and features a turtle shell motif. The pommel is also cast metal and features an embedded reproduction stone. The carved hardwood scabbard features an enamel paint outer coating and six cast metal turtle ornaments.

Walmart Offers 1st Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows Pre-Orders at WonderCon

Walmart is offering an exclusive pre-order for WonderCon attendees on new licensed merchandise tied to the upcoming movie.  Starting this Friday, March 25 and running through this Sunday, March 27, WonderCon attendees will be able to pre-order three Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles toys including two Walmart exclusives:

Toy Fair 2016 – Playmate’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

tf2016Playmates Toys invited the media tonight to check out the latest in their Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles toy line. Over the past few years the line has grown significantly going well beyond the traditional figures and vehicles to include a huge roleplay line, their T-Machines die cast cars, the younger skewing Half Shell Heroes  and so much more.

New this year were the T-Blasts which are starting to hit stores now. These stylized dart guns have amazingly fun TMNT details worked right into the blasters. Even the foam darts are themed to the characters and they look great. Of the new product in the booth, these were among the most impressive.

Also new and eye catching are Playmate’s TMNT entry into blind bagged minifigures. There were some fantastic little figures on display including some very cool clear versions. These are something to be looking for.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Pal Up With Dinosaur Pets for TV Special & New Toys

turtle logoOn Sunday, November 22, an all-new TV special, titled Half-Shell Heroes: Blast to the Past, will air on Nickelodeon. The one-hour special takes the Half-Shell Heroes back in time to a prehistoric era for a wild adventure. The Turtles and their pizza-loving prehistoric pets must stop a sinister alien dino race from changing the Earth’s future forever.

To coincide with the new TV special, Playmates Toys, the company behind the popular Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles toy line, is introducing a collection of dino-themed toys. Kids will now be able to re-create adventures seen in the TV special or they can let their imaginations run wild to create their own adventures with the Turtles and their new dinosaur friends!

The new collection is an extension of the Half Shell Heroes preschool segment, which features toys with bright colors, fun expressions and safe play features for smaller preschool hands.  The new dino-themed Half Shell Heroes collection includes a variety of 2-packs, with each pack containing a 2.5-inch Turtle action figure dressed in a caveman-style and a fully poseable dinosaur.
