The spot, which airs on February 5 during NBC’s Super Bowl Pre-Game coverage, will also introduce PrepareForBattle.com, an interactive website designed to engage fans with exclusive intel as the campaign’s momentum escalates.

The evocative spot marks Universal Studios Hollywood’s inaugural consumer awareness effort for its marketing campaign launching “Transformers: The Ride-3D.” When NBC’s Super Bowl game coverage once again transcends sports to captivate the nation, Universal Studios Hollywood’s spot will capture consumer imagination as the movie-based theme park sets the stage for its epic new ride, envisioned to completely and uniquely revolutionize the next generation of immersive themed rides.

The spot will culminate with a call to action, challenging viewers to enlist at PrepareForBattle.com as N.E.S.T. volunteers within an elite AUTOBOT–human combat force. The PrepareForBattle.com website includes an interactive, online game in which fans and theme park enthusiasts will compete to rise up the military ranks by successfully completing missions involving exclusive videos, downloads and trivia. Players achieving the highest accumulated point totals will win prizes including original TRANSFORMERS collectibles and a grand prize trip to experience “Transformers: The Ride–3D” at Universal Studios Hollywood.

In the “TRANSFORMERS” movies, Earth’s humans are caught in the middle of an intergalactic war between alien robots, the heroic AUTOBOTS and the evil DECEPTICONS, that physically convert from common mechanical devices, such as cars, trucks and planes to robotic warriors.

Overall, I found the event very enjoyable, almost surprisingly so. I’ll admit, I wasn’t a huge Kevin Smith fan going into the event; but I quickly realized that I liked Kevin Smith much more than I like Kevin Smith movies. The live podcast was fun, with a loose format that just allowed conversation to flow. If you’ve not heard ‘Jay and Silent Bob Get Old’ and are a fan of Kevin Smith’s be sure to check it out at SModcast.com.

The Q&A was really entertaining. If you’ve been to Comic-con, I’d describe it as solid celebrity panel – but in much better seats with alot more personal space. During the Q&A Smith and Mewes, answered a variety of questions on topics ranging from Smith’s ‘fued’ with Tim Burton; their movie ‘Red State’; plans for “Jay and Silent Bob’s Groovy Cartoon Movie”. The interactive portion worked really well, twitter was the perfect way for questions to be submitted and handled.  This was a really interesting event – I would love for Fathom events to host more similar events with other prominent creators. On the SDCC exclusives side, the exclusives follow last year’s trend. 2 versions of a figure – this year it’s Jinx and a Transformers-inspired deco’d vehicle – a Shockwave H.I.S.S. tank. Very cool, very purple.

eFX Inc. Enters the Marvel Universe With a New Line of Prop Replicas to be Introduced This Spring
 
Limited-Edition Prop Replicas and Collectibles Based on Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and More to be Revealed in 2012

                   BURBANK, Calif.
