More details of Diamond Select Toy’s Battle Beasts minimates at SDCC

The details on the Diamond Select Toys SDCC exclusive Battle Beasts Minimates are being teased in an interview at ToyChestNews. Head over and read the whole interview – but here’s an excerpt on what to expect for the toys:

The first Beast toys we’ll have for sale will be a San Diego Comic-Con exclusive two-pack, featuring Vorin with his cloak down and an evil dragonfly character named Zik. Vorin will be in full color for the first time, and he’ll be slightly different from the regular release in the fall, and Zik is a fun character we designed just for this set.

SDCC Exclusive from CS Moore Studio and Zenescope Entertainment 2012 – Grimm Fairy Tales Alice Liddle Action Figure

The CS Moore studio and Zenescope Entertaiment have announced their jont 2012 San Diego Comic-con exclusive – the Grimm Fairly Tales Alice Liddle action figure. This variant of the upcoming figure features Alice in a scant red dress and is limited to just 1,700 figures.  Alice is the first in the Grimm Fairy Tales line of action figures based on Zenescope’s popular stable of sexy characters. Additional figures are planned in the line, including Snow White, Queen of Hearts and Sela to commemorate Grimm Fairy Tales 2012 release.
The 2012 SDCC exclusive Alice Liddle figure stands 6″ tall, has several points of articulation and includes several accessories (base, rabbit, croquet malley, potions). This figure will cost $39.99 and be available at both the

Sex Pistols, Big Bang Theory and Hangover Pop! coming from Funko (and some Wacky Wobblers, too)

Have you noticed how big Pop! vinyl have become – they’re everywhere! Not only is that awesome, but there’s no signs of them slowing down. Funko sent out a quick email today announcing some upcoming Pop! vinyl and wacky wobblers.

To kick things off, from the hit CBS sitcom ‘The Big Bang Theory’ comes a 5-pack of mini (3″)Wacky Wobblers which collects the whole cast in one box of bobbling fun.

On the Pop! vinyl side, June 28th brings the newest addition to the Pop! Rocks line with the pioneers of punk – the Sex Pistols. Johnny Rotten, Sid Vicious and Steve Jones are all getting the Pop! treatment. A few weeks later, the 5th of July, see Pop! vinyl releases of Sheldon Cooper of ‘Big Bang Theory’ and ‘Alan & Carlos’ from the Hangover.  Images of all these new pieces are below.  Enjoy!

SDCC Dragon Ball Son Gohan (Special Color Edition) from S.H. Figuarts

Perfect for the Dragon Ball fan, this figure includes a cape, multiple faces, interchangeable hand parts and the ability to switch to Super Saiyan 2, this version features intense shadow effect skin coloring and portrays the special bold purple uniform received from Piccolo and worn during Son Gohan’s fight in the Cell Games. Four Horsemen announced SDCC exclusive Outer Space Men

For a third consecutive year, the Four Horsemen will be offering an Outer Space Men debut as their 2012 SDCC exclusive. This year they are offering a pair of figures (Orbitron & Gemini) and their first OSM deluxe – Cyclops. SDCC 2012 exclusives from Furry Feline

Got some exciting news from the folks over at Furry-Feline.com, a relatively new maker of plush toys – complete with their own fiction and universe. This year they are making their SDCC debut with 2 convention exclusives – Puffridge Dragon and Dragon Master Ringo. Star Trek Kreons

After the toy fair announcement that Hasbro picked up the Star Trek liscense – there was very limited information on what to expect. With a few months past, and principal filming complete on Star Trek 2, the first image of Star Trek Kreons has shown up online – so I’d say its a safe bet we can expect a Kre-O Enterprise.  Enjoy!

S.H. MonsterArts Godzilla “Comic-con Explosion” SDCC exclusive announced

Tamashii Nations, Bandai Japan’s collectors label, sent out the official news release on the “Godzilla (Comic-con Explosion) S.H. MonsterArts figure.  The 6inch tall (15 inches long, nose to tail) features a fiery color scheme derived from the 1994 movie “Godzilla vs. Space Godzilla”.  This high-end collectors figure features 29 points of articulation for ultimate Godzilla poseability.  The box art, by prominent Japanese artist Yasushi Torisawa, features Godzilla rampaging the San Diego Convention Center, home of Comic-con (just like the incredible diorama on display at last year’s show!). This great looking figure will be available at the Bluefin booth and will be priced at $55.

First two Quantum Mechanix SDCC 2012 exclusives revealed

Quantum Mechanix, makers of high quality screen-accurate replicas, collectibles, apparel and artwork have announced the first two SDCC exclusives for this year – from Firefly the Little Damn Heroes Maquette of Shepherd Book and from Battlestar Galactica, the Admiral Adama Animated Maquette.

The 4.5″ maquette of Derrial Book captures his dual nature – Bible in one hand with a shotgun behind his back. This is a limited edition with just 1,000 pieces being produced. The waitlist of this product is now open and it is priced at $39.95.
The other announced exclusive is a 1:10-scale maquette (5.9″ tall) of Admiral Adama in an animated style. He is standing on a circular base featuring the phoenix emblem of the Galactica. This piece is also limited to just 1000 pieces and is priced at $59.95.

I’m totally feeling the classic TARDIS bobble-head, and if you’re a sharp eyed reader, you’ll notice that is the very first logo on the base.  And those classic Cylons?  Heaven! Hawkeye fine art statue from Kotobukiya

With last week’s release of “The Avengers” Hawkeye’s never been hotter! To celebrate Kotobukiya is releasing a 1/6th scale (13″ tall) Hawkeye in his classic Avengers uniform. Hawkeye’s costume features fine details such as his skin-tight cowl, chain-mail like chest armor and the iconic ‘H’ logo on his chest. He is posed with his arm resting on the knee – standing atop the several arm and head of Ultron.  The base matches the other Kotobukiya Classic Avengers releases – Thor, Captain America and Iron Man, making this a fantastic companion piece.  Priced with an SRP of $209.99 this statue will be available in November. SDCC Exclusives from Bif Bang Pow! / Entertainment Earth
