NECA’s announced another San Diego Comic-con 2012 exclusive – this time supporting its HeroClix gaming platform. On deck this year is Hank Pym as Giant-Man. This super-sized figure also includes an in-scale Ant-Man figure, meaning you can’t see him! This SDCC 2012 Super Booster is priced at $39.99, check out images below.

Hawkeye fine art statue from Kotobukiya

With last week’s release of “The Avengers” Hawkeye’s never been hotter! To celebrate Kotobukiya is releasing a 1/6th scale (13″ tall) Hawkeye in his classic Avengers uniform. Hawkeye’s costume features fine details such as his skin-tight cowl, chain-mail like chest armor and the iconic ‘H’ logo on his chest. He is posed with his arm resting on the knee – standing atop the several arm and head of Ultron. The base matches the other Kotobukiya Classic Avengers releases – Thor, Captain America and Iron Man, making this a fantastic companion piece. MARVEL COMICS HAWKEYE CLASSIC AVENGERS FINE ART STATUE

Created in 1964 by Stan Lee and artist Don Heck, Clint Barton was an orphan working in a carnival who learned archery to become a master marksman. After dabbling in crime he chose the path of righteousness and became a costumed superhero, working alongside the Avengers for years and gaining huge popularity among Marvel’s readers. Barton joins the original trio of Thor, Captain America, and Iron Man in his iconic original costume: HAWKEYE CLASSIC AVENGERS! You’ve seen the latest incarnation of Hawkeye in the Avengers film and now you can celebrate his classic look in this amazing new Fine Art statue.

Wearing his traditional dark blue and purple costume, Hawkeye defends the Earth from the greatest threats with a smirk on his face and the Avengers to back him up. The master archer stands on a rocky outcropping, resting his right arm on his knee as he surveys the battlefield looking for his next target. The hero’s sculpt really captures the character from the features of his classic costume to the subtle details of his pose like Barton’s thumb testing the edge of his bladed arrow and the flowing movement of his cloth-like tabard. Every element of Hawkeye’s classic costume has been recreated from the skin-tight cowl with pointed mask and “H” logo to the scale mail-like chest piece, bracelets, and retro cuffed boots. And while he holds his trusty bow and one arrow at the ready, look closely to see that the hero’s quiver is still fully stocked! As a special addition, Hawkeye’s base even includes the severed arm and head of Avenger’s foe Ultron, with an arrow sticking out of the robot’s eye for good measure.

Sculpted by Erick Sosa, Classic Avengers Hawkeye stands nearly 13 inches tall (1/6 scale). His rocky terrain base matches those on the other Classic Avengers, the previously released Thor, Captain America, and Iron Man so you can display them individually or as a team!

Jakks Avengers product on deck

It’s just around the corner – May 4th is the US premiere of ‘The Avengers’. To coincide with the release, Jakks has sent out details of their upcoming products for ‘The Avengers’ – both role play costumes and 2.5″ collectible figures.

For the younger kids they can use CDI’s The Avengers Dress Up Sets to become their favorite hero. Complete with full body costumes and injection molded masks, kids can become Iron Man, Captain America or the Incredible Hulk. (SRP $14.99, Ages 3+) Dress up sets are expected to be available timed to the film’s release at retailers including Target, Toys R Us and Amazon.com.

Also on deck are CDI‘s new 2.5” Collectible Figures. Featuring highly detailed sculpts and poses pulled from memorable scenes in Marvel’s The Avengers, these figures are sure to grab the attention of adult collectors and young fans alike! Update on eFx Avengers prop replicas

With the opening of ‘The Avengers’ just around the corner – May 4th for the not obsessively tracking folks, eFx sent out a quick update on their upcoming Avengers prop replicas. These pieces, which debuted at Wondercon to rave reviews, will be available for preorder soon. If you want to be informed of the pre-order details first, or at least in the first group, send an email to MarvelUpdates@efxcollectibles.com to get added to the list. These are some awesome pieces, and I wouldn’t post them if I didn’t love them!

Four Fantastic new Marvel images from Hasbro

Hasbro sent out a quick set of images today revealing a few new items in the Marvel toy universe. Of course, all eyes are on the big screen debut of ‘The Avengers’ in a few weeks. The trailer revealed that Loki’s starting a war with earth, but who are his troops – and what do the toys look like? In the first two images, Hasbro revealed their Avengers scale basic and deluxe “Loki’s Army” figure – of course there’s no additional details so who they are, where they come for, etc…all needs to wait for a trip to the talkies.

The other pair of new images are of Miles Morales as Spider-man from Ultimate Comics: Spider-Man. Miles as Spidey will be available in both 3 3/4″ scale in Marvel Universe and in a 6″ scale. Check out images of all 4 of these figures below.

Toy Fair 2012 – Tokidoki

The only way I can describe the Tokidoki booth is cute, well..no, super cute. Toki Doki featured a wide range of product, from apparel and accessories to skateboards to vinyl figures.

New for 2012 are their ‘Royal Pride’ collection of blind boxed figures as well as new plush items of Stellina the Unicorn, Donutella and Kaiju. Also on display was the Cactus Friends line, adorable animals covered in thorns, in several sizes. The 3″ features Porcino the pig, Truffle the rabbit, Bastardino the pup and several other characters. 1.25″ blind boxed figures are also available.

Other blind boxed assortments include Unicornos (invidually deco’d Unicorns – if you couldn’t guess), Marvel Frenzies (which I love!) as well as their own Frenzies designs.
