At last year’s SDCC, Super 7 announced plans to produce the ‘lost’ Alien 3 3/4″ figures, new vintage-like figures based on the original 1979 prototypes. The 5 figures that are included in this line are:
- THE ALIEN (“BIG CHAP”) – with removable transparent dome, extendable jaws and glow-in-the-dark head
- RIPLEY – with Flame Thrower
- ASH – with Motion Detector
- DALLAS – with Flame Thrower
- KANE in NOSTROMO SPACESUIT – with removable helmet and transparent visor
At this year’s show Super 7 has 4 exclusives supporting their Alien ReAction line, and the best part is that two of them are free.
- Alien ReAction Early Bird Kit – Clearly inspired by the Star Wars Early Bird kit, for $100 ($125 if you’re outside of the US) you preorder all 5 Alien ReAction figures and you get an Alien figures display stage (including original artwork created in the style of 1970s packages), Space Club Membership Card, Alien photos, and a sheet of Alien stickers. The set of 5 figures will ship between October and December 2013.
- Alien ReAction Figure 2 Pack “Discovered Sale Samples” Big Chap & Kane – This two pack of figures is a “what-if” set, mocking up a sales sample. Both the Alien and Kane figures are cast in prototype grey, come in a white box stamped CANCELLED and include a sales letter. This set is priced at $40.
- Alien ReAction Figure Bases – If you give Super 7 your email address, they give you an Alien ReAction branded display base.
- Alien ReAction Catalog – Created in the style of vintage pack-in catalogs, this 12 page catalog features all 5 figures in the line. This is free.
